Bonfe Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Bonfe’s Plumbing Heating & Air Service, Inc. (“Bonfe,” “we,” or “us”) to our customers (“you,” “your”). By scheduling or receiving services from Bonfe, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Scope of Services
Bonfe provides heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, sewer, and related home services within our designated service area. Qualified technicians provide all services in accordance with applicable industry standards, local codes, and the specific terms outlined in your estimate or service agreement. You represent that, except as described in the request for service, all plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and drain systems are in good condition and you agree to hold Bonfe harmless for the discovery of defective conditions, including but not limited to: improper or faulty plumbing; settled or broken lines; improperly charged systems; improper or faulty electrical; rusted or defective pipes; existing illegal conditions; faulty air movement; improper voltage or defective electrical; acids in the drain system; or defective roofing. You agree to receive text messages from Bonfe, with the opportunity to opt out.
2. Drain Clearing Services
You are financially responsible for the removal of any cable or equipment that becomes stuck in the line and are responsible for the removal of the cable. You are responsible for the repair or replacement of any drain line that is damaged during clearing or cleaning. Bonfe is not responsible for damage to the premises caused by the removal of a clean out, drain cover, or cap removed for the process of servicing the lines. If the clean out, drain cover, or cap is rusted or fastened as to necessitate its replacement after removal, Bonfe shall notify the customer. If the Customer authorizes its replacement, a replacement will be made at an additional charge for the replacement of the clean out, drain cover, or cap and the labor for the installation.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Bonfe may provide written or verbal estimates for proposed work. Bonfe is a flat-rate company, and you must approve all pricing prior to starting any work. Once work and pricing are agreed upon, and parts are ordered, if you cancel, you are responsible for full payment of the ordered parts. All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
4. Scheduling and Access
We make every effort to honor your preferred appointment window. However, arrival times are approximate and may vary due to job duration or emergencies. You agree to provide safe, timely access to the premises and service areas. You agree to remove or protect any personal property, inside and out, including but not limited to carpets, rugs, shrubs, and planting that may hinder Bonfe’s access to the service area. Bonfe shall not be responsible for said items. Failure to provide access may result in a service charge of $99.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure safety and service quality, you agree to: Provide unobstructed access to the work area, secure pets and valuables prior to the technician’s arrival, disclose known issues or prior work that may affect the job, maintain a safe environment free from hazards.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. In the event that payment is not received within 30 days from the invoice date, a formal past-due notice will be issued. Should the outstanding balance remain unpaid for an additional 14 days, a demand letter will be sent, indicating that legal action may be initiated if the debt is not settled. If payment is not received within another 14 days following the demand letter, legal proceedings will commence.
7. Bonfe Bucks
Bonfe Bucks are promotional credits that may be applied to eligible services.
Usage Guidelines:
- Up to $200 in Bonfe Bucks may be applied per transaction
- May not be combined with other offers or discounts
- Non-transferable and have no cash value
- Must be presented at the time of service and may be subject to expiration
- Cannot be applied to membership fees
- Bonfe is not responsible for lost, stolen, or expired Bonfe Bucks
8. Membership Overview
By joining our membership program, you gain access to exclusive benefits, including priority service, discounted rates, and more. Membership ensures that your home’s plumbing and HVAC systems receive the care and attention they deserve, with regular maintenance and special offers throughout the year.
To participate in the membership program, a valid and working payment card must be kept on file for automatic monthly or annual charges, depending on your selected plan.

9. Warranties
Lifetime Warranty
Bonfe offers a limited Lifetime Warranty on certain repairs and replacements recommended and completed by our technicians, in accordance with our currently published Lifetime Warranty available at https://bonfe.com/lifetime-warranty/. This warranty is valid for the original homeowner for as long as they own the home and is non-transferable.
Limited Warranty
Bonfe makes no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose for goods sold. Bonfe shall provide work in a competent, workmanlike manner. Repairs, including equipment replacements, will be free from material defects for 1 year. Any Bonfe repairs requiring rework will be performed during normal business hours. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary stated herein, all branch line and main line stoppages are warranted for a period of thirty (30) days from the completion of initial service. All warranties are void if payment is not made when due. Warranties extend only to the customer and are not transferable.
Exclusions and Limitations
Warranty work does not cover: broken or abused plumbing (abuse includes but is not limited to debris from overloading garbage disposal, foreign objects, hygiene products, wipes, heavy paper products, grease, oil and excessive food particles); cost of work performed by another company; direct or indirect damages caused by a backup; overtime cost, extra parts, additional labor; or any other damages. A service call will be charged if it is determined that work is not covered under warranty. Customer’s right to repair and replacement are customer’s exclusive remedies. Bonfe shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damage
10. Permits and Code Compliance
Where required, Bonfe will obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with applicable state and local building codes. Permit fees will be outlined in the estimate unless otherwise stated.
11. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
Bonfe reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if, but not limited to, Unsafe or unlawful conditions are discovered, the customer is verbally or physically abusive, work conditions differ materially from what was disclosed, or payment terms are violated.
12. Photography and Documentation
Bonfe may take photos or videos of work performed for quality assurance, internal training, and promotional purposes. No identifying information about the homeowner or property will be disclosed without written consent.
13. Force Majeure
Bonfe is not liable for delays or inability to perform due to causes beyond our control, including but not limited to: Severe weather, Labor shortages, Utility outages, Material supply disruptions, Government restrictions
14. Service Area
Bonfe proudly serves the greater Twin Cities metro and surrounding communities. If you are unsure whether your property is within our coverage area, please contact our customer service team.
15. Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving customer concerns promptly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota.
16. Minnesota Construction Lien Law
“As required by the Minnesota construction lien law, Bonfe hereby notifies customer that person or companies furnishing labor or materials for the construction of customer’s land may have lien rights on customer’s land and building if not paid. Those entitled to lien rights, in addition to Bonfe, are those who contract directly with the customer or those who give the customer notice within sixty (60) days after they first furnish labor or materials for the construction. Accordingly, customer may receive notices from those who furnish labor or materials for the construction and should give a copy of each notice received to his mortgage lender, if any, to see that all potential lien claimants are duly paid”.
“Any person or company directly supplying labor or materials for this improvement to your property may file a lien against your property if that person or company is not paid for the contributions. Under Minnesota law, you have the right to pay persons who supplied labor or materials for this improvement directly and deduct this amount from our contract price or withhold the amounts due from us until 120 days after completion of the improvement unless we give you a lien waiver signed by persons who supplied any labor or material for the improvement and who gave you timely notice.”
17. Changes to Terms
Bonfe reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
